Our new crazy life

So our lives feel like they have been turned upside down and everything is different. Brandin has been planning on going to law school so he can be a patent attorney, but because of multiple reasons ( mostly the cost of tuition and my treatments) we have decided to prolong that decision. It is still going to happen, but not next year. We are now looking for an employer since Brandin graduates in April with his degree in Mechanical Engineering. Crazy. It is so nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel though, I am not going to lie. Hopefully Brandin will find a job that offers tuition reimbursement, and Brandin will be able to do law school part time while still working at a job.
Brandin was just called to be the second counselor in a singles ward bishopric, and me and the kids were asked to attend with him. They even called a primary president just for Carter! What is crazy is that for the past couple months (after our last bishop was called to the stake presidency) we have kinda felt out of place in our own ward. The first Sunday that we went to the singles ward we felt so at home, and knew this is where we were meant to be. It's a nice feeling to feel like you belong somewhere. It is also really weird adjusting to all of the fun things the singles ward does. We have been going to ward prayer, munch and mingle, break the fast, and yesterday we had FHE at our place. So weird but so fun! And I love all of the activities that feed us so I don't have to cook ;).  Kenna is in heaven, because she never gets put down there, and attention is pretty much her favorite thing on the planet. The biggest struggle is trying to keep 2 kids silent during sacrament meeting by myself, because no one talks in a singles ward, it is silent except for the speakers and my kids. :)
I have already completed my first set of classes after being out of college for 5 years. I got an A and a A- which made me so happy! I am almost done with my next set of classes, and hoping I can hold onto the A's that I currently have in the classes. I am going through Colorado State University doing a Bach in Accounting. I have a year and a half left until I will be done. Almost a light at the end of the tunnel!
My chemo treatments are going really good. They had to up my doses for a while, and my hair started falling out and I got canker sores in my mouth (like, huge ones) and bruises like crazy! My white and part of my red blood cells dropped to low, so they lowered my doses and everything has been good since then. I still get dark purple bruises if I even slightly bump my legs, but that is pretty much it. I just had my 6 month check up and everything is looking great! I do not have to go back up to Salt Lake until December, which is pretty fantastic since I have been making that trek weekly and then monthly for the last 6 months trying to get my doses correct and numbers stable.

Yep, this is how much of my blood they take every time I go into my Dr. Pretty sure someone there is a vampire and wants all of my blood. :)

Carter is 5 and Kenna is 7 months! So crazy. It feels like it's only been a couple months since Carter was born, and he is 5. How does that happen??? Kenna is an inch worm and it will only be a matter of a short time before she will be cruising around everywhere. Carter is now doing "tricks" on his bike, thinking he is so cool taking his feet off the pedals and standing up on his bike. His birthday was so close to the cutoff date for kindergarten that we decided to have him wait until next August to start school. So for the last year I have my babies at home with me hanging out!  Loving my family and all of our crazy changes going on right now!

McKynlie's 1st Birthday Party

McKynlie's Birthday party ended up being during Brandin's break in class, so we decided to go over to Colorado for a couple days. It was a lot of fun hanging out with Daniel and Krystal, and visiting family.

Krystal decided to go with a farm theme, and these are the cupcakes we all helped her make.

Jordan Family Pictures

While I was in Colorado I took some family pictures of my bestie Jess and her family.
