Carter's garden and other randomness

Too many random picts that don't go together into a nice blog post, so here comes the chaos! lol

We went to Walmart Sat and got some seeds and made a "cute" (in Carter's words) garden. Hopefully it will last and we might get veggies off it this year.

The garden :)

The other day we went outside and Carters buddies were out there. I love it when they play and get along. ha ha. Hyrum, Ale, Steven, and Carter.

Brandin has taken Carter out on his bike a couple times and Carter is getting so good at steering and pedaling.

GO Carter!

These past couple weeks Carter has finally started caring about coloring. I guess even in Sunbeams he keeps telling them that he cant color and wont do it. It's been the same at home, and then suddenly BAM he starts coloring. . . almost in the lines.  . . with the correct colors. . . .huh. Who saw that one coming?? :)

The other day we were on our way to Target when we saw a sign at a furniture store that said "cost plus 16%" Brandin used to manage a furniture store in AZ and he told me there was no way that they would be able to sell things that cheap, because they would go under, and he wanted to see if the sales were really that good. So we went in and the furniture was not as cheap as expected, so Brandin went and talked to the sales lady and asks her if he could see how much they paid for it. She said that was fine, and the table was priced much higher than the advertised price. Long story short, the original price was $1,275.00, they had it on sale for $800.00, and Brandin talked them down to $580.00.  We immediately purchased it and said that we would be back the the next day to pick it up. When we went to pick it up the manager was very upset that the table set had been sold for so cheap and was rude to Brandin, letting him know that we purchased the table so for low the store was losing money. Thankfully he still let us take it, and the next week we drove past and the sign had been taken down. Oops :)

Carter LOVES fruit snacks, and lately that is all that it takes to bribe him to clean his room all by himself. He was so proud of himself he wanted to be in the pict of his room after all of his hard work :)

General Conference, Sunday afternoon session

When my friend Lindsay had originally planned on coming to Utah for her bro's reception, she was going to stay and go to General Conference. It ended up that she had to go back early, so she gave us 2 tickets! Here at BYU it is IMPOSSIBLE to get tickets, so I didn't think we would be able to go while we lived here, but thanks to Lindsay we were able to :) And thanks to my wonderful Neighbor/friend Arlen for being willing to watch Carter for 5 hours. It was a wonderful experience, and traffic wasn't nearly as bad as we had expected :)

Lindsay, Arthella, and I @ Christians wedding

Lindsay, Arthella and i grew up together, and while we have spent time with each other during the years, we haven't been able to get all 3 of us in the same place for the past 7-8 years. Well this weekend it happened!! Lindsay flew to Utah for her lil bro Christinan's wedding. Arthella lives in Price, and she called me the morning of the reception to let me know that she was able to take a half day at work and was going and would take me with her! It was so much fun being able to see each other, even if it was only for a couple of hours. Love you guys!

I also did the flowers for  the wedding. . . not a good pict but the only one I took of the brides bouquet.

Easter Fun!!!

Easter was a nice, fun filled day! It started with 8 am church, and Carter's sunbeams teachers gave him a ton of candy, so by the time Sacrament Meeting came around (we have it last hour) He was SUGARED up! He ate an ENTIRE box of peeps himself. (Sigh) luckily we made it through, and he went home and had a sugar crash which meant NAP TIME!! That doesn't happen very often in this house anymore, so I was excited. It gave us time to get his basket and eggs together and a little relax time. Once he woke up he was able to go and search for his Easter Basket. He was pretty excited and it took him a total of 5 seconds to find it (I guess we are bad at hiding things lol) He was excited and started gobbling down MORE sugar, so we had to take it from him and make him eat a sandwich (which had to look like Easter he said, so we cut it out in the shape of a bunny) Once lunch was done we went for a walk around the Temple, and played "fetch the egg" (we throw the egg, Carter chases it and brings it back to us, pretty much like a puppy ;) Then we came back  and got food ready for our BBQ we were having with some friends. I forgot to take picts, but we made yummy shish-ca-bobs (is there a right way to spell that? lol) We had a fun BBQ enjoying the sun with the Davis's, Lavayens, Ovando's, and  Bryces. I had filled some plastic eggs with candy, so we hid those for all the kids. They were silly and running all over trying to find the eggs that were "hidden" (how do you hide eggs in grass? ) All in all it was a nice family day, and I love living somewhere with such good neighbors!

The Easter basket right before we hid it.
