During the whole time we were in our apt in Az we had been looking for the right house in the right area for the right price. We had made a couple offers during the first year and a half, but someone else always got to it first. We found a house that needed some work (which was one of Brandin's criteria because he loves using all of his saws and power tools) and made an offer. The next day we heard back and they had accepted! The house had been bought a couple years before for $250,000 and the owners had foreclosed, We were able to pick the house up for $93,000, so it was a little bit of a reduced price :) I convinced one of my best friends Linz to move from Co and come live with us and try out Az for a while. We also had another friend Porter that was looking for a place to stay. Since we were buying a 4 bedroom house we invited him to live with us as well. Well, closing on our house took longer than expected, so for a month we had Porter living on our outdoor balcony, and Linz slept on our couch in our 1 bedroom apt. It was quite the experience and a funny story to tell. We finally closed on the house and started the remodel. In my mind that means painting, in Brandin's it meant that we took down a couple ofceilings and redid the entire house!Brandin had also changed jobs and was working for One Hour, and air-conditioning company. So we were able to get an A/C unit for really cheap. But he is one talented boy and I am so happy I married someone that can take care of any problems that may come our way in our house :)
